Westland specializes in two areas: horse housing and metalworks. It was founded in 1960 by Roger Louwagie and initially focused on agricultural stables and products. Since 1998, it has been lead by Karel Louwagie, who specifically expanded the company into horse housing, containers and racks for the automotive industry and metalworks. In 2003, a Slovakian subsidiary company was established where all series production happens: Westmetal SK.

The metalworks and horse housing departments have been branded separately for several years now. Metalworks include everything produced in metal, with a specific specialization: steel structures and containers or racks. In horse housing we offer everything involves housing a horse.
